" The true revolutionary"

When you ask an youngster in our country to name a few freedom fighters of our great country the first name would undoubtedly be Gandhiji and hopefully the second name that would pop up could be "Shaheed Bhagat singh". Bhagat singh died at the age of 23!!! but the life that he had lived up till then was much more worth than anyone of us is living. His story is well known thanks to "Legend of bhagat singh movie" which by the way was the first time i got to know the story of the martyr. Before that his name was just an another name of a freedom fighter who had died for our motherland for me, i actually do remember reading about him in the history book but i dont think my history teacher was able to generate even .001 percent of intensity while teaching as compared to that of the revolutionary singh's to see our nation free from the british.

Its a pity that people like me have to watch a movie to know about such a great personality it should be taught in the classrooms across the country with vigour but our education system like it is has to improve a lot, by lot i mean a hell of a lot. The facts about singh are very interesting and it clearly signifies the quality of education which changes one's prespective towards life. Bhagat was a very learned person and used city library to full use and made study groups and inspired many people to read on various subjects like history, economics and politics. As compared to that what do we do, we hardly read and forget about inspiring others to read!!!

The astonishing fact is bhagat had read about 143 books before he died and a large chunk of them he read while he was in prison, the startling fact is not the number of books but the quality of them. He got inspired by the ideas of the authors, french revolution, russian revolution etc. What do we read?? harry potter!!!

If we have the intensity of singh even 10 percent we would achieve a lot in life but ask anyone..why anyone..ask me would i die for my country??? The dream that he saw was a nation which was independent not only from the british but also economic and petty religious politics, have we achieved that?? i dont need to answer that!!
