Naxalism or Maoism, Is it justified??

Posted by Aphron on 12:13 PM
I was made to think on this topic after the massacre which occurred few days back in Dantewada district. 76 CRPF jawans were brutally murdered by Maoists.
I was watching this Debate( What should be done to counter naxalism) on a News channel being discussed by eminent personalities which included many Political leaders as well.

Well before thinking of a solution to counter Naxalism,I think it would be advisable to know why in the first place these people have taken the extreme step of Violence against the government.
Some of the major concerns of them are that

  • Government is not doing anything for the poor tribals(Adivasis)
  • Under the pretext of Development they are making poor people homeless.
  • Corruption rules the government.
Many more issues which if considered carefully are actually Genuine issues.

But is Violence Justified? Is this the only way left??

Some interesting points raised by the issue where that, these people have two choices.
Either take arms and fight for justice or just wither away because of hunger, poorness etc
They have been trying to take issues to government but nothing is done.

Government's reply to this is
" You should join politics,Stand in elections and take part in the development process"

But is it that simple to form a party and be able to win in elections? Something similiar happened in Nepal but this is INDIA, it will not be easy.

If that route is used then it will be very difficult.

But According to me that is the only way to bring justice. Yes it is difficult but then if really these Radicals believe in their morals then they should come forward and fight.

Picking up Guns is a easy job,Killing someone is easy but to fight openly is hard. Yes i agree it might be impossible but then how can you justify killing 75 Lives!
What have the families of the deceased done??

War does not solve a issue it only complicates it.

Something has to be done by Government. They cannot sit idle. This is a very complex issue and should be handled in a sensible way. Opposition parties should forget petty politics and join hands to solve this issue.

India mourning!

Posted by Aphron on 10:28 AM
Indian1: Did you read the reports of the killing by naxals yesterday?

Indian2: Yes i did! It was brutal and very wrong on the part of naxals! Damn the government! It doesn't do anything!

Indian student1: True! Hey what's the latest news of Sania-shohaib marriage? Any new development???......................................

Isn't India really mourning?
When Kasab and his accomplice had come to mumbai and killed so many people it ruled the headlines for weeks together. Such was the scale of disaster.
But when "only" 74 CRPF jawans die, what do our great media channels do??
Have wonderful programmes on IPL,Sania Mirza marriage etc
Actually it is better if media ignores this incident since when they apply their super brains they make mockery of themselves!

Apart from NDTV and CNNIBN no one is showing the plight of families which have lost their only breadwinners. 74 jawans died! Does really no one care for them??

Well they are army men they are supposed to die! Aren't they??

They are not supposed to!! Death of a individual is being taken very lightly nowadays and we judge the scale of disaster by number of deaths!!

I do not want to criticize the government since they did what they had to! They paid homage to the martyrs,in few days the concerned families will get their compensations( At least they will be promised)

Chief Air marshall reply to a journalist question: Well i am in no favour of using air force to takle naxals since we are not equipped and we are not trained for it.
But unless the govenment wants us to,then we can think...
Good atleast he wants to think!

Subranium( Janata party president): Chidambaram should resign!!

Surely India is mourning...

"Paid news"

Posted by Aphron on 2:24 AM
The revelation made by the newspaper "HINDU" regarding the concept of "Paid news" which was highly prevalent during Maharashtra assembly elections caused quite a debate among the Media,Politicians and the concerned authorities( Election commission). This was a topic which was which required lot of attention to be given as compared to other baseless topics which are given high importance by Media agencies.
Nevertheless,Editors guild understandably was strict on the News of Paid news and wanted the Phenomena to be stopped by laying some guidelines.
This all started when it was clearly seen that lot of local newspapers in Maharashtra carried a series of articles showcasing the "Great" qualities of the now Chief minister Ashok chavan. It was so evident that the articles were same but with different headings that no enquiry was required,Considering the obsession our country has with Commissions,Enquiry which never see the Light of the day!!

Now whats interesting is Ashok chavan's reply to the letter sent by Election commission for asking his comments on the "paid news". His reply is so flawed that a Normal citizen like me who has just followed newspaper reports regarding the issue can easily contradict his statements with valid points.

His first question was, What authority does Election commission have to ask him to reply to the letter??
Now Isn't that a stupid question to ask Considering that it is the constitution of our country which has employed Election commission to conduct a Free and unbiased Elections. Isnt that a authority big enough?? This clearly shows that he wants to shift the focus onto the Jurisdiction of Election commission. By doing so he will buy time and eventually evade the enquiry!!

He then says that in no article it is shown that votes has been asked!!
Who said that he has been caught asking votes publicly through newspapers,It is clear that newspapers have shown that he is one of the finest politician to lead the Government something which clearly influences a opinion of a citizen towards a candidate. Isnt that a indirect way of campaigning???

He then says that is Natural for opposition parties to raise such issues to defame the victorious parties!! He has forgotten the fact that it was not BJP who came up with the news of Paid news,It was the Paper "The HINDU" whose journalist P.Sainath did the investigation and wrote the articles regarding it. The BJP just performed its duty by raising the issue with the concerned authority the Election commission.

I am sure that this wont go for long and it is just a matter of time that issue dies down and everyone will forget and continue with their Profit making schemes!! Media which is supposed to be a Mirror of the society is showing much more than a Mirror actually shows!!!

"Politics"

Posted by Aphron on 11:13 AM
Not bollywood, not cricket not any other form of entertainment is as entertaining as our own politics!! Watch an hour of Lok sabha tv it will be very interesting and great fun!!
Member of parliament's participate in debate's which are supposed to be of high importance to the people of our country in such a shabby manner,it is really a shame on the part of the world's biggest democracy!

Dec 6 1992 is considered as a black day in our country because of demolition of Babri masjid by politically driven car sevaks!! It does not require rocket science to come to the conclusion that it was an combined effort of VHP,RSS and other Hindutva groups and the the Opposition party at that time "BJP". BJP's role is something which is obviously there but has been vehemently denied by the party.

Did Advani,Vajpayee and above all Pv Narsimha rao know about the demolition drive prior to the event??
What were the factors which lead to the demolition??
Who sketched the plan for the demolition??
Why din't congress party in power that time impose military rule 10 days prior to the demolition when all the papers were ready??

These are some questions which needed to be answered and accordingly Justice Manmohan singh Liberhan was given the job to find out the details regarding it.

Commission formation is one of the fastest way of showing to the country that ruling party is taking some action but what happens next is a sorry state of affairs!!

Liberhan commission took very short time to come to a conclusion only 17 years!!
Well what can be the factors leading to such a long time to do the job??
This is one question which Media doesn't focus on, reason being no one wanted to get into the bad bad corrupt world of our country, Justice liberhan had to confront people in power and find out the real facts behind the conspiracy!! But still he should have made some plans to finish the commission's work as soon as possible, or giving up, but he chose to take his own time!! I don't understand why no paper and tv media have taken his views on the prolonged time which he took, baring a few reports here and there.

After 48 extensions the report was finally given to Dr. Manmohan singh our prime minister in june 2009. But due to obvious reasons congress refrained from tabelling the report in parliament. Then from nowhere Indian express comes out with the leaked report and sensationalises the contents and NDTV also gives a details of reports and repeatedly saying they were the only one's who were having the report!! ( Media competition)

Then the debate starts about the contents of the report and everyone says the report just repeats what everyone already knows ,then why did it take 17 years to make the report??
Well the 1000 odd numbered report did contain many details which were important.

The very next day after the report was leaked it was tabelled in the parliament and the date for debate was on 9th dec 2009

What happens in debate is politicians keep on blaming other parties and at the end point we dont come to a conclusion.
Who are the perpetrators of the demolition?? They were never sentenced and because of that idiotic demolition around 2000 people died in riots involving Hindu's and muslims.

Our politicians are more interested in personal gains rather than progress of the nation except a few good politicians!!

In all this fiasco what we forget is price of food items!! The cost of essential commodities are sky rocketing and politicians are not even giving a statement regarding it but are busy discussing the 1000 page dark past!!

In all this a Common man is the sufferer,he does not want the debate but wants his next meal!!

Was this the ploy of congress to leak the report at the point of time when the price rise was showing the inability of ruling UPA government??
Well we can have a commission to enquire into the matter and make mockery of our democracy!!
Thats indian politics for you!! 100% masala packed entertainer!!

"Idiocracy"

In near future don't be surprised to see Raj thackrey as a synonym for hypocrite!!!
The leader of "Maharashtra Navanirman Sena" is creating a niche for himself as a powerful hooligan following the footsteps of yesteryears Sena chief Baba saheb.
MNS supremo is a excellent example of hypocrite, he wants Maharashtra language to be on everyone's lips , Jobs to be given to maharashtrian people so he ends up beating up North indians who turn up for attending the recruitment for railways. If he is such a chauvanist then he should not be travelling in vehicles because i dont think hardcore maharashtrian people would have made them!! He should eradicate all other languages from the schools and teach only their mother tounge He should never address a press conference in other language, he should impose a fine on people who talk other than marathi, and ban all other newspapers in the state!!!

Unless he does all this i feel he will remain an hypocrite. On 9th Nov 2009 his party's extremism took to unacceptable levels, fighting and pulling down the mike when an constitutional act is being performed!!! For this his party has to be suspended and a case of criminal conspiracy has to be booked on him.

If that was not enough Reacting to the incident the Mns supporters burned effigies of MLA Azmi and disrupting normal life.

Even Azmi supporters were adamant in showing their anger, they burned down buses, property and what not!!
Is this what politics is??
Burning down the state for some idiots idiocracy!!
All the people who are politicians and among them who are educated in maharashtra should be ashamed of themselves!!
What example are we showing to the world?? India a new economic power, front in all fields including shamelessness!!
These hooligans are more dangerous than terrorists these people are trying to divide our beautiful country, most of the learned lot don't even care for such incidents. Its become common and the best way to tackle the problem is to ignore it!!! But shouldn't someone come forward and take action, we shouldn't expect anything from politicians take for example maharashta govt, what did it do?? Promised to take stringent action!!
The law will handle this crooks, i dont think so, these crooks will handle the law!!!

Someone was wise enough to go to supreme court against these "Goondas", but it is important to note that the same person Salek chand jain had moved the apex court in 2008 against party for attacking North indians and its been 1 year and obviously
" Law is taking its due course"
By looking at all this even i feel the best way to tackle the problem is "ignore it"
Jo Hota hai hone do, can keep on reading newspaper in living room and write blogs commending the incident and complaining about politicians.

After all i am an hardcore "Indian"

" Election time"

Elections in our country are lot like festivals some celebrate with victories and some gloom at their defeats, and there are some who are responsible for this change of moods of different parties i.e us the "Voters". But how many of us really take the responsibility seriously?? Hardly few. There are various reasons for that, some of them which i would mention are

Firstly there is a notion among most of the people that politics is really a bad field and most of the politicians are power hungry and they hardly seem to be interested in doing something for the society!! I don't see anything wrong in this attitude!! A clear example of this would be the number of crorepati MLA'S contesting maharashtra assembly elections,it was a whopping majority!!
Secondly some of them feel it is like choosing best from the worst, hardly any choice!! I fall into this category.
Lastly a major chunk of people generally uneducated vote for those candidates who give them money during the elections, they hardly give a damn to what they will do in the 5 yrs stipulated time!! This section is vehemently lured by the Political parties.

But like me there are many people who keep blaming our political system and the "great" politicians but hardly do anything to improve it. But there are some people who are stepping forward to clean up the mess but the time taken for it to complete unfortunately will not be seen by us!!
For entering into politics you need a lot of courage and family background too, if a teenager tells his middle class parents that he wants to become a politician then the response of them would obviously be negative.
In a week's time we have GHMC ( greater hyderabad muncipal corporation) elections and a few hours back the BJP party candidate from our area had come to beg for votes, But even if we vote will it matter???

"Politics is the impure form of Polity but now we need a much more impure form of politics!!"

" The true revolutionary"

Posted by Aphron on 8:17 AM
When you ask an youngster in our country to name a few freedom fighters of our great country the first name would undoubtedly be Gandhiji and hopefully the second name that would pop up could be "Shaheed Bhagat singh". Bhagat singh died at the age of 23!!! but the life that he had lived up till then was much more worth than anyone of us is living. His story is well known thanks to "Legend of bhagat singh movie" which by the way was the first time i got to know the story of the martyr. Before that his name was just an another name of a freedom fighter who had died for our motherland for me, i actually do remember reading about him in the history book but i dont think my history teacher was able to generate even .001 percent of intensity while teaching as compared to that of the revolutionary singh's to see our nation free from the british.

Its a pity that people like me have to watch a movie to know about such a great personality it should be taught in the classrooms across the country with vigour but our education system like it is has to improve a lot, by lot i mean a hell of a lot. The facts about singh are very interesting and it clearly signifies the quality of education which changes one's prespective towards life. Bhagat was a very learned person and used city library to full use and made study groups and inspired many people to read on various subjects like history, economics and politics. As compared to that what do we do, we hardly read and forget about inspiring others to read!!!

The astonishing fact is bhagat had read about 143 books before he died and a large chunk of them he read while he was in prison, the startling fact is not the number of books but the quality of them. He got inspired by the ideas of the authors, french revolution, russian revolution etc. What do we read?? harry potter!!!

If we have the intensity of singh even 10 percent we would achieve a lot in life but ask anyone..why anyone..ask me would i die for my country??? The dream that he saw was a nation which was independent not only from the british but also economic and petty religious politics, have we achieved that?? i dont need to answer that!!
